1 loaf of frozen bread dough, thawed
3 TBS butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins-optional
1/2 cup pecans-optional
1/2 cup powdered sugar
a dash of milk
On a lightly floured surface roll out bread dough into a cookie sheet sized (14 x 10) size. Brush with butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle with pecans and raisins if desired.
Starting from a long side, roll up tightly. Seal seams.
Slice into 12 roll; place on a greased pan. (11 x 7 x 2)
Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
Cool for 10 minutes.
Make a glaze out of milk and powdered sugar and pour over top.
Sounds yummy, I'll be trying these. WHere did you get you "Stay Calm and Carry On" sign, I LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteI made these this morning for my whole family, and after the first batch, another was requested. Thanks a bunch for sharing this recipe, it was my first attempt at a "baking breakfast" and it was awesome!
ReplyDeleteOk I finally meandered over to your food blog. So is this really in your kitchen. I LOVE the quote. I might steal it.
ReplyDeleteoff topic but where did you find that plaque, "Keep Calm, Carry On"? I just saw that in a house on HGTV, also placed on the backsplash above the cooktop, must be a reason for that location, haha, and I jotted it down because I think its so great!
ReplyDeleteafter reading all the comments I see the wall plaque is not off topic afterall but just as popular as your recipes! :)
