You need:
Rhodes dinner rolls for individual pizzas
pizza sauce
mozzarella cheese
parmesan cheese
assorted toppings
olive oil
The Rhodes dinner rolls are in the frozen food section. They only take about an hour to thaw and even quicker if you use the fast thaw method on the back of the package.
Smash then down or roll them out, whatever is easier till you get the desired shape.
I use a generous amount of olive oil on the baking pan…that’s the secret to a good homemade pizza I think. My kids love to make their pizzas themselves. We top with sauce, cheeses and pepperonis.
I bake mine at 400 degrees, maybe 10 or so minutes, middle oven rack.
Yum! I want to make these.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww!! The little guy is so cute. Oh, and the pizza looks great too. The little guy takes the cake, though.
ReplyDeletegirl, you are saving my LIFE here. i'm so glad i found your site!
ReplyDeleteBeen a fan of your blog for a while but just saw this post on Pinterest. You would not believe how difficult I have made the process of forming individual crusts! This idea is so simple...eventho I will be compelled to make it difficult by making my own rolls :P Patrick is such a doll!
ReplyDeleteSaw your link on Pinterest! I love Rhodes frozen rolls and usually have them in my freezer. I use them to make Pioneer Woman's Rosemary Rolls. I usually make my own pizza dough, but this looks so much easier. Thanks for sharing this and I'll give it a try soon.
ReplyDeleteI made these tonight..Delish!
ReplyDeleteI too saw this on Pinterest. Almost every Friday I make pizza with Rhodes dough, but the 3-pack bread dough and never thought of using the rolls to make individual pizzas. Super idea! Rhodes dough is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to make delicious home-made pizza.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever heard of wildtree? I sell it, and we even have our own pizza sauce/dough that's all natural, but the reason I wanted to comment is the olive oil. We have some infused grapeseed oils, like garlic; & butter, that would give your rhodes rolls GREAT flavor!
ReplyDeleteAnd grapeseed oil has half the saturated fat as OO! I love that you don't have to use very much. It expands when heated so a few sprays and your good.. you would have as much as you see in your pan above.
If your interested in trying it, let me know! I do have some sample size oils! my website is http://www.mywildtree.com/krystal for more info.
Krystal, I am interested in trying some of your sample sized oils. Please email me at jkimpalmer@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteThese have become a family favorite! Thanks Sarah :)
ReplyDeleteis there quicker method than the speed method on the back of the bag? it takes about 1.5 hrs. just want to be sure i'm not missing something :) thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI made these tonight and it only took 20-30 mins to thaw them. I just sat the rolls out while I preheated the oven and boiled the water. Then when I popped them in the oven it was very quick!!
DeleteLauren-
DeleteYou are using the old school style where they have to rise for hours and hours or the quick method in the oven for 1.5 hours. I think for this recipe you need to use the ones that are larger and lighter (pre-risen) there are about 12 per bag of those.
I will be making these tomorrow night!! Thanks for this awesome recipe!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I attempted these, but failed----I sat the rolls out on the counter, but they got kind of crusty----do you just thaw as are and then roll out?? Do you have to let rise, or do you have to bake them before putting toppings on? I feel like 10 minutes wouldn't get the inside of the roll done? Sorry, I was just so excited to make these and when the rolls didn't work, I was kind of bummed! Tips?
ReplyDeleteI make these crusts and then use them to make home made pizza Lunchables for my daughter's lunch. She loves them!
ReplyDeleteI use the Rhodes Texas rolls. Makes a little bigger personal pizza. We love them here too!
ReplyDeleteMade these tonight. They were soooo good, and very easy. Kids loved making them the way they wanted. Only thing is the oven temp of 400....was way too high, and bottoms got a little too dark. Next time 350, for 10 min would work better. And broil tops for a few min. This will be a regular in our house.
ReplyDeleteSaw this on pinterest and I am def.trying these!
ReplyDeleteTried this and they were a hit. I did 350 for about 20 minutes and then broiled for just a few minutes! Broiling is risky! I almost didn't get them out in time! But they were great. I did some sun dried tomato pesto on a few with mozz cheese and green peppers. Yum! I bet these would be good with some apple pie filling and then sprinkled with brown sugar and icing when they came out of the oven!!
